Another Wet Dream Brought to You by Genre-Fucking

two months until my birthday!

*splo00000oge*

*changing the sheets as we speak*

Yeah, buddy.

I never realized how much incestous genre fucking* there is. No, really. Here's what I've discovered in the past week (all thanks to www.pandora.com and listening to the classic rock station non stop):

1. "Cupid's Chokehold" by Gym Class Heroes = hook from "Breakfast in America" by Supertramp
2. "Lose Control" by Missy Elliott = sample from "Music Makes You Lose Control" by Les Rhythmes Digitales
3. "Guns and Roses" by Jay-Z = "Arco Arena" by Cake + words

there's more I just can't remember now.

I can't say I'd be shocked if I found out that "Ms. New Booty" by Bubba Sparxx was actually based on the hook from some Vivaldi joint....word.

*Genre Fucking (n., adj.): Abbreviated definition: when random genres and songs beome supercrossoverbest friends, i.e. Snoop Dogg taking the beat from "Enter Sandman" ((c) Metallica) and rapping over it. Actually that could happen, if not already. Imagine Snoop rapping over, say...the music from "The Pina Colada Song". Within the realm of genre fucking, anything can happen.
